Bill Gerke
Bill Gerke is entering his 9th year as the General Manager and Scheduler for the Hokies (10th overall). Gerke, a former Virginia Tech graduate, started his career as House Director, Master Scheduler, and Board Member for the Northern Virginia Ice Dogs for five years, including co-founding the Capital Corridor Hockey League (CCHL) in 2008. Gerke’s first stint as a General Manager came with the Team NOVA Purple Puck tournament team for four years, while also serving as manager and scheduler for the Bishop Ireton Boys’ Varsity hockey team. The journey to becoming the Hokies General Manager began as the team photographer in 2016 when his son, ACCHL Hall of Famer Stephen Gerke, was a freshman. In 2017, Bill took over as the Hokies’ graphic designer, all roles he continues to occupy today. In his spare time, Gerke is a Senior Partner with HT Limited, a consulting engineering firm located in his hometown of Arlington, VA.
